MICHAL CIMALA *1975 Havířov
 

Sculptor, designer, and jeweler. Author of numerous interior designs, he often works with public spaces. He graduated from the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague (1994-2000, Department of Metals and Jewelry, prof. Vratislav K. Novák). He has completed residencies in Milan, Berlin, and Los Angeles. He is one of the founders of the Prague Trafo Gallery and a member of its artist circle. Recently, he has joined the FIRMA project. He frequently experiments with sculptural forms, recycles used materials, and works with found objects (ready-made). The central focus of Cimala’s work is the figure and its transformations in new social and technological conditions: the figure and its alienated.
